The XGWPPK snaps over the floorplate of a PPK/S magazine and seats it in the shorter PPK. In .380 that is the 7-round magazine, with a finger rest the PPK doesn't have on its own.
The XGRIP carries the PPK's grip down over the longer PPK/S magazine and cushions the steel floorplate. Its shape is based on the anthropometrics of the hand and wrist, giving the little finger somewhere to land on a very small pistol.
It is cut to seat the magazine at the right depth, and no deeper. Nothing on the pistol is drilled, cut or replaced.
